Our Story

From the vibrant streets of Bengaluru, Clan Bokka Phod has risen as a beacon of Dakhni culture, channeling the spirit of the Deccan through the pulse of hip-hop. Our collective, composed of rappers, poets, music producers, and performers, began with a shared vision: to challenge stereotypes and breathe new life into the rich tapestry of Dakhni language and art. Our album ‘Bangalore Ka Potta’ is not just music; it’s an auditory dictionary, a cultural manifesto that has sparked a movement for the marginalized language.

Our roots are deep in the community of Neelasandra, where our headquarters, Dakhnistan Studios, stands as a creative sanctuary. Here, amidst the bustling bylanes, we’ve nurtured dozens of emerging artists, fostering a space where creativity and culture converge. Our flagship event, ‘Galata-e-Dakhnistan,’ held at The Museum of Art and Photography, is a testament to our commitment to cultural revival and artistic expression.

As we continue to dismantle the myths surrounding Dakhni’s ‘broken dialect’ and confront the marginalization we face, our music serves as a vehicle for resistance and empowerment. With every track, performance, and workshop, we’re reclaiming pride for Dakhni and inviting audiences to join us in this journey of rediscovery and revolution.
